From virtue weal and wealth outflow; What greater good can mankind know?
Virtue will confer heaven and wealth; what greater source of happiness can man possess ?
It yields distinction, yields prosperity; what gainGreater than virtue can a living man obtain
அறம் சிறப்பையும் அளிக்கும்: செல்வத்தையும் அளிக்கும்: ஆகையால் உயிர்க்கு அத்தகைய அறத்தை விட நன்மையானது வேறு யாது?
அறம், நான்கு பேர் முன் நமக்கு மேன்மையைத் தரும்; நல்ல செல்வத்தையும் கொடுக்கும். இத்தகைய அறத்தைக் காட்டிலும் மேன்மையானது நமக்கு உண்டா?
சிறப்பையும், செழிப்பையும் தரக்கூடிய அறவழி ஒன்றைத்தவிர ஆக்கமளிக்கக் கூடிய வழி வேறென்ன இருக்கிறது?
